Questions about the free transcription
Is this really a free transcription tool?
Yes. The sample needs no account, card or software: you pick a file in your browser and get timestamped text. Limits apply: 10 minutes of audio, 100 MB and 3 attempts in 24 hours.
How do I convert speech to text online for free?
Record the conversation with your phone or a voice recorder, choose the file above, confirm you may process it and click “Transcribe for free”. The language is detected automatically, or you can pick Polish, English or German.
What happens to my recording?
Audio is deleted immediately after a successful transcription, and the text within 24 hours. The sample never enters semantic search or a summary model. To keep the text, save it to a free account.
How is the sample different from transcription in an account?
The sample gives you plain text without speaker separation. With an account you can upload a recording of up to 3 hours per file, within your plan's minutes, and get separated voices, a summary, tasks, PDF and Markdown export, and search across all your recordings. Free includes 120 minutes a month with no card.
Which files can I upload?
MP3, M4A, WAV, WebM, OGG, FLAC, MP4, MOV and MKV — recordings from a phone, voice recorder, messaging app or meeting software. For video, we only use the audio track.
