Talkenda and Otter.ai
Otter is convenient and its billing is clean — a flat price per seat, no credits. Two things look different here: what happens to Polish speech, and where the recording sits.
What differs
| Talkenda | Otter.ai | |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting language | Polish as a first language — the model handles Polish speech directly | Polish supported, at 85–90% accuracy against 95–98% for English |
| Who is speaking | Voices separated, and where the platform provides captions, labelled with real names | Falls back to “Speaker 1” with overlapping voices, noise and accents |
| Where recordings live | European Union, on our own machine | Servers in the US, with GDPR compliance declared |
| Billing | One price, one hour limit | Flat price per seat, no credits |
| Data processing agreement | Signed on request, at no extra cost | Depends on the plan |
What they do better
- Its billing is cleaner than most of the category — a flat price per seat, no credits running out mid-month. That is a real advantage and we do the same.
- It is praised for being easy to use — one of the simplest products in this category.
- It has a mature product, mobile apps and integrations we do not have.
What is different here
- Speaker separation is done by a dedicated model, and names come from the platform captions — where the platform provides them, the transcript carries names instead of numbers.
- The recording never leaves the European Union.
- A Polish conversation is not routed through English on the way.
- You can upload your own file, including from a meeting no bot ever attended.
No card, no commitment. Then 34.99 PLN a month.
