Parent-teacher meeting note
A meeting with parents ends in commitments that have to be written down — usually by the person who has just spent forty minutes running the conversation.
What ends up in the document
- A summary in language you can paste into school records: no judgement, no evaluative adjectives.
- Commitments split into what the school does and what home does.
- Deadlines, where they were actually said.
- Sensitive details kept to a minimum and only where they bear on a commitment.
